Lino Prints Gallery

Reflection Series

Initially the subject of my Masters project enquiry, the subject of ‘reflection’ developed through exploration of various materials.   In attempting to transcribe  nature’s imprints, I developed a series of embossed lino prints depicting reflected trees and substrates of water.  Combined with transparent images, I have endeavoured to create a more multidimensional element to my work.    The semi-sculptural white forms created through blind lino embossing furthered my curiosity with developing  3-dimensional forms (See Pebbles).

Circles

I found myself looking at the curved forms of pebbles on my local coastline and felt drawn towards shapes and forms found from natural phenomena. The embossed relief prints evolved into something more simple and less complex in theme and developed into further exploration for plaster carvings of organic, spherical shapes.
